In April 2020, American psychedelic stoner-rock band King Buffalo from Rochester continued their Quarantine Sessions series with the second part—"Longing to Be the Mountain". Recorded in a home studio during lockdown, this session became an emotional anchor for fans: Dan Reynolds' heavy guitar riffs and vocals, Sean McVay's bass lines, and Scott Donaldson's drums crafted a prolonged psychedelic trip even in confined space. The track blends stoner power with post-rock textures—guitar waves flowing into drum storms, with vocals adding melancholic depth. Not just a jam but a manifesto of surviving through music in isolation, where King Buffalo proved their mastery in epic sound without a big stage.
