In June 2022, Australian psychedelic rock band King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard—led by Stu Mackenzie and at the peak of their tour supporting albums like Omnium Gatherum and Changes—delivered a festival set at Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Great Stage Park, Manchester, Tennessee. Their June 17 performance became one of Weekend One's brightest moments alongside Stevie Nicks and Tool. Pro-shot with official bootleg (released August 2022 as Live at Bonnaroo '22), the show caught the band in full hypnotic power: Amby Kenny-Smith and Cook Craig's guitar riffs backed Michael Cavanagh's drums, while Mackenzie's vocals added mad charm. Opening with "Robot Stop" → "Hot Water", flowing through "The Grim Reaper", "Mars for the Rich", "Hell", "Planet B", "Gaia", "Magenta Mountain", "The Garden Goblin", "Work This Time", and closing with epic "The Dripping Tap" teasing Led Zeppelin "Dazed and Confused". This gig—pure King Gizzard magic: chaos, energy, and endless jam under Tennessee skies.
