In May 2025, Australian psychedelic rock band King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard—led by Stu Mackenzie and known for endless energy on albums like Flight b741 (2024)—closed their Lisbon residency with the third night at Coliseu dos Recreios, a historic 2,800-capacity venue in central Lisbon. The May 20 show became the three-day Portugal stay climax, presenting material from recent releases with their signature mix of garage rock, psychedelia, and kraut motors. Captured professionally and released as part of the official bootleg Live in Lisbon '25, the performance caught the band at full strength: Amby Kenny-Smith and Cook Craig's guitar riffs backed Michael Cavanagh's drums and Mackenzie's vocal intensity to create an endless jam feel. This gig—a standout European tour moment—proved their mastery of live chaos and invention.
