In September 2024, Australian psychedelic rock band King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard—led by Stu Mackenzie and mid-North American tour supporting albums like Flight b741 (2024)—performed at Miller High Life Theatre (formerly Riverside Theater) in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a historic venue opened in 1928 as a local cultural landmark with ~2,500 capacity. The September 4 show became a tour highlight: the classic lineup—Amby Kenny-Smith, Mickey Cavanagh, Cookie Craig, Joey Walker, Lukey Harwood, and Stu Mackenzie—under lights by Terrence Ankeny and Jason Galea unleashed an epic psych-thrash mix. Heaps Keen Films directors Jackson Devereux & Allen Dobbins, with Fatou Seck and Annette Hampton, shot the pro footage, while Sam Joseph, Joe Santarpia, and Grace Reader handled sound. Vibe peaked with "The Dripping Tap" and "Field of Visión", flowed into "Hot Water" and "Raw Feel Jam", "Gila Monster" with fan high-fives added chaos (Ambrose munching floor popcorn for laughs), and "Honey" into "Sleep Drifter" slowed before the explosive finale. Official bootleg with free soundboard mix and STEMs on Bandcamp (bootleggizzard.bandcamp.com) reflects their open policy—"indie labels/bootleggers/fans, release it if you want, files and art above".
