In November 2024, Australian psychedelic rock band King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard—led by Stu Mackenzie and mid-North American tour—performed at PH Live (Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood) in Las Vegas, a modern 7,000-capacity venue in the heart of the Strip. The November 8 show became a tour highlight, showcasing material from recent releases with their signature mix of garage rock, psychedelia, and kraut motors, including slot machine samples and "Viva Las Vegas" quotes. Captured professionally as the official bootleg Live in Las Vegas '24 (with soundboard mix and STEMs on Bandcamp), the performance caught them in hypnotic form: Amby Kenny-Smith and Cook Craig's guitar riffs backed Michael Cavanagh's drums, while Mackenzie's vocals added mad charm. The Las Vegas night—standout tour moment—proved their mastery of live chaos and invention.
