In July 2025, Australian psychedelic rock band King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard—led by Stu Mackenzie and at the peak of their tour supporting albums like Flight b741 (2024)—delivered the second night of their Bulgarian residency at an open-air arena in Plovdiv before thousands. This show became the Balkan leg climax, showcasing material from recent releases with their signature mix of garage rock, psychedelia, and kraut motors. Captured professionally, the performance caught them in hypnotic form: Amby Kenny-Smith and Cook Craig's guitar riffs backed Michael Cavanagh's drums, while Mackenzie's vocals added mad charm. Running through "Rattlesnake", "Shanghai", "The River", "Head On/Pill", and epic "Am I in Heaven?", where the crowd fully immersed in their endless jam. This gig—a standout tour moment—proved their mastery of live chaos and invention.
