Step back in time to August 2, 2005, as two titans of German hip-hop, Kool Savas and Azad, unite on stage at the legendary Live Music Hall in Cologne. This electrifying performance captures the raw, unfiltered energy of their landmark collaborative album, 'One,' which had taken the German rap scene by storm. The chemistry between the self-proclaimed 'King of Rap' Savas and Frankfurt's street poet Azad is palpable as they trade aggressive bars and command the packed venue with an undeniable presence.
The concert is more than just a showcase for their joint project; it's a full-fledged celebration of their respective careers and crews. The setlist masterfully blends iconic tracks from 'One,' such as 'Monstershit' and 'All 4 One,' with solo anthems that defined an era, including Savas's 'Der Beste Tag Meines Lebens' and Azad's 'Phoenix.' Adding to the spectacle, the stage is shared with a host of prominent guests, turning the event into a veritable summit of the German rap scene. Fellow legend Samy Deluxe makes a special appearance, alongside artists from Savas's Optik Records and Azad's Bozz Music labels, including Jonesmann, Amar, and Erchandize. This performance is a powerful document of a pivotal moment in German hip-hop history.
