Machine Gun Kelly brought his signature brand of pop-punk chaos to the Budweiser stage at Lollapalooza Brasil 2022, delivering a fiery performance that captivated the massive crowd at São Paulo's Autódromo de Interlagos. The show was a powerful statement from an artist who has successfully reinvented himself, cementing his place at the forefront of the genre's modern revival. The setlist was a celebration of his successful pivot from rap to rock, heavily featuring tracks from his acclaimed album 'Tickets To My Downfall' and his then brand-new record, 'Mainstream Sellout,' which had been released that very day. The performance was packed with fan favorites, including 'kiss kiss,' 'bloody valentine,' and 'my ex's best friend,' creating an electrifying singalong atmosphere throughout the venue. Visibly moved by the reception, MGK told the audience, 'I've never had this many people in my entire life,' before declaring his love for Brazil. The concert was a full-scale production with impressive pyrotechnics and a dynamic light show. A standout moment came when he paid homage to the genre's icons with a powerful cover of Paramore's 'Misery Business,' dedicating it to 'the legends of the genre.' From the raw energy of 'concert for aliens' to the anthemic 'emo girl,' the show was an unforgettable night of high-octane rock.
