Riding the massive wave of their global breakout in 2021, Italian rock sensations Måneskin stormed the stage at The Forum in Inglewood for the iHeartRadio ALTer EGO festival in early 2022. The performance was a high-stakes moment, a chance to prove to a massive American audience that their meteoric rise, fueled by viral hits and a Eurovision victory, was backed by genuine rock and roll firepower.
From the opening chords of their Eurovision-winning anthem "ZITTI E BUONI," the band delivered a set crackling with raw energy and undeniable charisma. Frontman Damiano David commanded the stage with his signature swagger, while Victoria De Angelis on bass, Thomas Raggi on guitar, and Ethan Torchio on drums provided a tight, powerful foundation. The setlist was a perfect showcase of their appeal, moving from the defiant Italian rock of "MAMMAMIA" to the electrifying energy of "I WANNA BE YOUR SLAVE" and, of course, their globe-conquering cover of "Beggin'," which had the entire arena singing along.
This performance was more than just a collection of hits; it was a testament to their connection with a new legion of fans. The sight of an American crowd passionately singing along to Italian lyrics was a powerful symbol of the band's unique crossover success. Måneskin's set at ALTer EGO wasn't just a festival appearance; it was a powerful declaration. They confirmed that the glamour and attitude were matched by pure musical talent, solidifying their place as one of the most exciting new forces in mainstream rock and proving they were here to stay.
