In a remarkable fusion of genres, German indie duo Milky Chance joined forces with the ORF Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra for a special performance in November 2023. Hosted at the ORF RadioKulturhaus in Vienna, this FM4 session saw the band's signature blend of folk, electronic, and reggae reimagined with sweeping orchestral arrangements. The concert was a deliberate effort to create a new, cohesive sound, rather than simply having an orchestra accompany their existing tracks.
This unique collaboration breathes new life into fan favorites, from their global hit "Stolen Dance" to newer tracks like "Living In A Haze." The result is a captivating performance that bridges the gap between modern electronic production and the timeless grandeur of classical instrumentation. Clemens Rehbein’s distinctive, raspy vocals and Philipp Dausch’s intricate productions are elevated by the rich textures of the symphony, creating an immersive and powerful sonic experience. The performance showcases the duo's musical evolution and their willingness to explore new artistic territory more than a decade into their career.
