In the heart of Paris, inside the historic yet modern walls of the Gaîté Lyrique, Monolink delivered a performance that perfectly encapsulates his unique artistic identity. Presented by the renowned Cercle, this show from March 2018 captures the German artist, Steffen Linck, in his element, seamlessly bridging the gap between live singer-songwriter sensibilities and the immersive world of melodic techno. The intimate setting, with the audience surrounding him, creates a powerful connection, drawing viewers directly into the sonic tapestry he weaves on stage.
Armed with his guitar and a microphone, Monolink builds each track from the ground up, layering his soulful vocals over hypnotic rhythms and deep, driving basslines. His performance is a masterclass in dynamic control, shifting from moments of gentle, introspective melody to powerful, dancefloor-focused crescendos. This is not a typical DJ set; it's a live concert where electronic production and raw instrumental talent coalesce into a single, compelling narrative. The elegant lighting design within the Gaîté Lyrique further enhances the atmosphere, creating a visually stunning backdrop for a truly captivating musical journey.
