At Main Square Festival 2013, Of Monsters and Men wove a musical tapestry, where their Icelandic indie-folk blossomed in harmonious and melodic hues, infused with soul. Held in Arras, France, in July, the Icelandic band, whose sound intertwines folk-pop, indie-rock, and tender melancholic melodies, gifted the audience a set where the beauty of their music unfolded in every chord. Led by the voices of Nanna Brynjarsdóttir and Ragnar Þórhallsson, Of Monsters and Men crafted an atmosphere where gentle guitar flourishes and layered vocal harmonies resonated like the breath of northern expanses, allowing the audience to see and hear this beauty. In 2013, the band was showcasing their album "My Head Is an Animal," their debut release that won global acclaim, and the set featured tracks from that record, reflecting their artistic journey. The rendition of "Little Talks" glowed with soulful warmth, while brass instruments added a vivid accent to the melodies. Formed in Reykjavik in 2010, the band gained fame with their global hit single "Little Talks." Main Square Festival, with its open atmosphere, provided the perfect stage for this show, allowing Of Monsters and Men to share their musical magic.
