In July 2023, American pop-rock band OneRepublic—led by Ryan Tedder and at the peak of their tour supporting Human (2021)—performed at Isle of MTV Malta, the annual free festival organized by MTV since 2007 at Il-Fosos Square in Floriana as a platform for pop and rock among 30,000 attendees. Their hour-long main stage set on July 18, captured in high quality, embodied the European tour climax, where Zach Filkins' guitar riffs merged with Brent Kutzle's keys and Tedder's vocal intensity to spark euphoria under Maltese sun. Part of a lineup with Alesso and Mimi Webb, this show highlighted their role as 2010s stadium pop-rock leaders, turning the historic square into a realm of collective unity.
