In August 2025, American rock band Papa Roach—whose albums like Infest (2000) defined nu-metal with over 20 million copies sold and evolved into alternative rock—headlined Sziget Festival, an iconic music event on Budapest’s Óbuda Island, drawing tens of thousands annually. Their hour-long set, charged with Jacoby Shaddix’s raw energy and emotive delivery, blended aggressive riffs with melodic interludes, igniting festival euphoria. The performance stood out for its intense crowd engagement, reinforcing the band’s veteran status, captivating audiences and uniting punk and rock generations.
