Prophets of Rage — Live Concert at Pinkpop Festival, Landgraaf, Netherlands 2017

The stage at Pinkpop 2017 ignited with revolutionary fire as Prophets of Rage, the formidable supergroup, unleashed their sonic assault. Comprised of Rage Against the Machine’s Tom Morello, Tim Commerford, and Brad Wilk, alongside Public Enemy’s Chuck D and DJ Lord, and Cypress Hill’s B-Real, the band delivered a performance steeped in political urgency and raw power. Their appearance at the legendary Dutch festival was a key stop on their mission to “Make the World Rage Again,” and they held nothing back.

From the opening sirens and the defiant riff of RATM’s "Testify," the collective established a relentless energy that surged through the massive crowd. The setlist was a masterclass in rebellion, weaving together the greatest hits of their respective bands—including Public Enemy’s "Prophets of Rage," Cypress Hill’s "How I Could Just Kill a Man," and a powerful medley of hip-hop classics. A particularly poignant moment came with a tribute to the recently deceased Chris Cornell, as the band, joined by System of a Down's Serj Tankian, performed Audioslave's "Like a Stone." This performance was more than a concert; it was a high-decibel call to action, a vibrant and visceral protest against injustice, proving that the spirit of dissent in their music was as relevant as ever.
