In September 2017, American funk-rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers—at the peak of The Getaway World Tour supporting The Getaway (2016), their first with Josh Klinghoffer replacing John Frusciante after I'm with You—headlined Meadows Music & Arts Festival at Citi Field in New York, capping a day with Gorillaz and Weezer. The 90-minute set, captured in high quality, embodied their maturity after 34 years: Flea's bass lines merged with Klinghoffer's guitar riffs, while Anthony Kiedis' vocals and Chad Smith's drum power sparked euphoria among 30,000 under Queens' autumn skies. Featuring tracks like "Californication", "Can't Stop", and "By the Way", this show highlighted their veteran status in alternative rock, turning the stadium into a realm of collective triumph.
