In September 2015, Sam Smith took the stage at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas as one of the headliners for the prestigious iHeartRadio Music Festival. Riding the massive wave of success from their debut album, "In the Lonely Hour," Smith delivered a performance that was both emotionally resonant and dynamically powerful. The set was a showcase of the hits that had made them a global phenomenon, including the heart-wrenching ballad "I'm Not the Only One" and the uplifting anthem "Stay With Me," which had the entire arena singing along.
A major highlight of the evening was a special collaboration with the electronic duo Disclosure. The energy in the venue shifted as they joined Smith on stage for their hit collaborations. The audience was treated to a pulsating performance of "Latch," the track that first introduced many to Smith's incredible vocal range, as well as the live debut of their then-new single "Omen." This segment demonstrated Smith's versatility, effortlessly moving from soulful crooner to the dynamic vocalist of a dancefloor-filling track. The performance was a definitive statement, cementing their status as a versatile and commanding presence on one of pop music's biggest stages.
