Captured in the heart of New York City during the summer of 2013, this intimate performance by Selena Gomez was a key moment in her burgeoning solo career. As part of the iHeartRadio LIVE Coca-Cola Summer Concert Series, the show celebrated the release of her debut solo album, 'Stars Dance.' The atmosphere was electric as fans gathered for an exclusive set that showcased Gomez's transition into a more mature, electropop-infused sound.
The setlist, though brief, was perfectly curated to bridge her past with her new direction. She delivered a confident rendition of 'Come & Get It,' the lead single from 'Stars Dance,' which had already become a global hit with its distinctive Bollywood-inspired hook. This was followed by the energetic track 'Slow Down,' further cementing the album's dance-pop identity. To the delight of long-time followers, she also included the fan-favorite 'Love You Like a Love Song,' a beloved hit from her time with The Scene, creating a special moment of connection with her audience.
This New York concert wasn't just a promotional stop; it was a statement. It presented Selena Gomez as a polished and compelling live performer, confidently stepping into the spotlight on her own terms. The iHeartRadio platform provided a massive stage, broadcasting her new music to a wide audience and capturing a snapshot of an artist on the cusp of global superstardom.
