Swapping the sprawling festival stages they're known for, Slightly Stoopid delivered an intimate and up-close set at the KROQ Helpful Honda Sound Space in Los Angeles. This 2025 performance offered a rare chance to experience the band's signature sound in a stripped-down, personal studio setting. Hailing from the Ocean Beach neighborhood of San Diego, the group has cultivated a dedicated following with their seamless blend of rock, reggae, ska, and sun-drenched acoustic vibes that perfectly captures the Southern California ethos.
During this special session, the band showcased their musical versatility and relaxed stage presence, treating the small audience to a mix of fan favorites, a Sublime cover, and the debut of a new track. The performance highlights the intricate musicianship and easygoing chemistry between the band members, elements that have made them a beloved staple on the live circuit. This recording captures the pure essence of Slightly Stoopid's sound—a laid-back, feel-good energy that's both invigorating and deeply rooted in their coastal origins.
