Against the stunning and unconventional backdrop of the Lac de l'Axe Majeur in Cergy, France, Belgian superstar Stromae delivered a uniquely intimate outdoor performance. Filmed in September 2022, this special event was a departure from the massive arenas of his 'Multitude Tour.' Instead, Stromae invited a small gathering of fans to share a moment of rare closeness, creating a powerful connection between the artist and his audience.
The performance was part of a special broadcast titled 'Stromae en toute intimité,' a program that blends a live concert with documentary elements. Accompanied by his musicians, Stromae performs a selection of his genre-bending hits in a stripped-back, personal setting. Between songs, the program offers a candid look into his journey, as Stromae opens up about his career, his triumphs, and his moments of doubt. The portrait is further enriched by commentary from fellow artists like Orelsan and DJ Snake.
This show captures a different side of the visionary artist, trading grand-scale production for raw emotion and vulnerability. It's a testament to his artistry and his desire to connect with his listeners on a deeply human level, all set within a breathtaking natural landscape.
