In front of a massive festival crowd, the greatest band in the world, Tenacious D, unleashes a torrent of rock and comedy at Germany's legendary Rock am Ring festival in 2019. This performance was a key stop on their epic 'Post-Apocalypto Tour,' a series of shows that brought their animated YouTube series and album of the same name to life. Jack Black and Kyle Gass, the dynamic duo themselves, command the stage with the theatrical energy and raw musical power that has earned them a devoted global following.
The setlist is a perfect blend of new material from 'Post-Apocalypto' and the band's most celebrated anthems. The show kicks off with tracks from their latest project before diving into a treasure trove of fan favorites like "Kickapoo," "Tribute," "Wonderboy," and the epic rock opera "Beelzeboss (The Final Showdown)". Each song is delivered with Jack Black's unmistakable vocal ferocity and Kyle Gass's virtuosic guitar skills, proving that behind the comedy lies a genuinely formidable rock band. The sheer joy and absurdity of their performance create an unforgettable experience, solidifying their status as masters of comedic rock.
