From their home base in Denver, Colorado, The Lumineers delivered an intimate and heartfelt performance for the renowned KEXP at Home series. Recorded in January 2022, this special session captures the core duo of Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites in a stripped-back setting, allowing their poignant songwriting and rustic folk-rock harmonies to shine through with clarity and warmth.
The setlist is a thoughtful blend of new and old, featuring tracks like 'Brightside,' 'A.M. Radio,' and 'Where We Are' from their album of the same name, alongside the timeless fan-favorite 'Ophelia.' Adding a unique touch to the performance, the band also offers a heartfelt rendition of The Cure's classic, 'Just Like Heaven,' reinterpreting it through their signature acoustic lens.
Interspersed with an interview conducted by KEXP's John Richards, the session provides not only a beautiful musical experience but also insightful commentary from the artists. It's a warm and personal glimpse into the world of The Lumineers, showcasing the raw emotional power that has made them one of modern folk's most beloved acts.
