The XX, the acclaimed British indie pop trio, delivered a captivating performance at Primavera Sound Porto in 2026, showcasing their signature blend of minimalist electronic soundscapes and introspective lyricism. Known for their hushed vocals and sparse, yet deeply atmospheric arrangements, Romy Madley Croft, Oliver Sim, and Jamie xx created an intimate connection with the audience, even on a large festival stage. This particular setlist, meticulously detailed in the video's description, offers a comprehensive journey through their discography, featuring beloved tracks like the haunting 'Crystalised,' the melancholic 'Islands,' and the ethereal 'Angels.' The performance also highlights their evolution, incorporating material from their critically acclaimed album 'I See You,' including the infectious 'On Hold' and 'I Dare You.' A unique aspect of this concert is the inclusion of solo material from the band members – Romy's 'Enjoy Your Life,' Jamie xx's 'Wanna' and 'Treat Each Other Right,' and Oliver Sim's 'GMT' – offering a glimpse into their individual artistic expressions while still maintaining the cohesive spirit of The XX. Their live shows are renowned for their immersive quality, transforming vast spaces into personal, reflective experiences, and this Primavera Sound appearance was no exception, solidifying their reputation as one of the most compelling live acts in contemporary music.
