Labeled an 'Official Bootleg,' this recording captures the raw, unfiltered energy of Volbeat's return to the stage in the autumn of 2021. Filmed in the historic and intimate setting of The Observatory North Park in San Diego, this performance was part of the 'Wait A Minute... Let's Tour,' which marked the Danish rock titans' first North American shows since 2019. The excitement of both the band and the audience is palpable, creating an electric atmosphere that translates powerfully through the screen.
Volbeat unleashes their signature blend of rockabilly swagger and heavy metal punch, a sound that has earned them a massive global following. The setlist for this show was a treat for fans, featuring powerhouse staples alongside the live debuts of tracks like "Shotgun Blues" and "Wait A Minute My Girl" from their then-upcoming album, *Servant of the Mind*. This recording is a testament to the band's reputation as a formidable live act, showcasing their tight musicianship and the undeniable charisma of frontman Michael Poulsen.
Without the polish of a traditional live album, this official bootleg offers an honest and powerful snapshot of a band revitalized by their return to live music. It’s a perfect document of Volbeat doing what they do best: delivering a high-octane, crowd-pleasing performance that is both immaculately rehearsed and genuinely heartfelt.
