Vulfpeck, the Michigan-bred funk phenomenon, delivered an electrifying performance at the legendary Jazz à Vienne festival on July 16, 2024. The band took the stage of the ancient Roman amphitheatre Théâtre Antique de Vienne — one of the most beautiful open-air venues in Europe — and turned it into a proper funk church.
Known for their minimalist approach to funk, jaw-dropping musicianship and infectious grooves, Vulfpeck showed exactly why they’re considered one of the tightest live bands in the world. This set perfectly captures the chemistry between Jack Stratton, Joe Dart, Woody Goss and Theo Katzman, blending meticulously arranged compositions with spontaneous improvisational moments.
